Night Skin Care Routine

September 24, 2015

During the school year, my skin and I do not agree. I'm constantly busy, and usually stressed which makes my face break out! To fight my acne, I use this combination of products for my dry, sensitive skin.

Once I've finished my homework, I use Bioderma to remove my makeup. I am obsessed with Bioderma, because it doesn't burn or sting, but gets all of my eye makeup off including my waterproof mascara!

After removing my makeup, I wash my face using Clean and Clear's Essentials Foaming Face Cleanser for Sensitive Skin. This is my all time favorite cleanser because it foams up a lot and I feel as though I can feel it cleansing my face, instead of sitting on top of my skin.

After thoroughly washing my face, I apply my acne spot treatment if I have any breakouts. My go-to is Clean and Clear's Advantage Acne Spot Treatment because I know that if I put it on a pimple overnight, it will be gone when I wake up. For bigger spots, or pimples that form under the skin I apply PRID's Drawing Salve before I go to bed, and the spot size shrinks at least by half overnight. This step is also where I brush and floss my teeth :)

Because I have dry skin, moisturizing is super important. I worship love my moisturizer which is the Clean and Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer (which I did a review of in May of 2o14). Similar to my facial cleanser, I feel as though my skin absorbs on the moisturizer and it replenishes my skin, instead of sitting on top of it.

My last step is to go back to any dry patches on my face, usually above my eyebrows and on my chin and apply my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. If you've never heard of this product, it's basically a miracle cream to you can use for cracked lip, dry skin, burns, acne, to shape brows, etc. The consistency is super thick and sticky, but I don't mind it before I go to bed.

So that is what I use on my face before I go to sleep! This routine has been working extremely well for me, as I haven't had any major breakouts in a while. Obviously this doesn't mean you should go out and buy all these products, even if you have my skin type because no two people have exactly the same skin! I do however recommend each of these products, especially if you have dry and sensitive skin!

Leave me a comment below letting me know what your favorite products are, or if you use any of these, I'm eager to know! Stay tuned, xo Lauren.
